EQUE (the art of listening) was a collaboration between two artistic and devoted musicians Hans Ouwejan(Hanzz) & Felix Faassen(Flixz).

EQUE stands for quality handmade musical compositions and recordings. Their music ranges from a simple Jingle to complete Classical Orchestration.

History of Eque, The art of listening!

It all began somewhere at the late 80's. Felix had just begun to make music with synthesizers. Felix began his exploration of the world of electronic music by composing music in M.I.D.I. file format. These pieces were inspired by classical composers like J. S. Bach, as well as contemporary artists like Vangelis and Jean-Michel Jarre.

The progress of composing & recording music is fantastic but can sometimes be very hard. Sometimes you have lack of inspiration, you don't know what do with the unfinished composition or even worse you'll never finish it. To be honest that's the worst which can happen. But all these things are nothing compared to the immense feeling of having created a composition which rocks!

The second part of the story is the arrangement and final recording of your composition. Think of selecting the right instruments, playing them as realistic as possible ( after all we've played all the tracks on keys, except for the guitar parts in Lovelight and Mare Anguis. They are real guitars), finding a right balance between them, and finally recording the composition. All these things we do ourselves.
